On September 2nd, 8 teams encompassing all Bow Valley Credit Union branch locations and the Administration Office started off on a trek to “the Summit”.
For 28 days participating staff walked, ran, aerobicized, and played sports, getting off their chairs and couches to help create awareness and raise funds for Cerebral Palsy Alberta.
The challenge to take 10,000 steps or an equivalent in a physical activity each day is not as easy as you think!
A special thank you to all of our staff individually and together as teams who volunteered to participate in STEPTEMBER 2015! As a Credit Union we traveled 6,504 kilometers with 8,535,805 steps in total!
Together we raised $2,127.00 and counting (donations can still be made until November 1st) in support of children and adults with Cerebral Palsy in Alberta! Thank you to all staff, family, and friends who donated.
While the challenge is over, don’t stop moving! This was an eye opener to many of us how little we move each day when confined in an office or at a desk. We encourage everyone to challenge themselves each day to continue on in living an active and healthy lifestyle.
Thank you again to all who helped make STEPTEMBER in Bow Valley a success!
