Every Wednesday From June – Thanksgiving. 3.30pm -7pm

Come out and discover the finest local purveyors and producers of local goods. Everything from original quilts, hand crafted art, to natural soaps and lotions, you will find unique gifts and personal treasures. Fresh produce, food trucks, delicious pies, gluten free items. Quality goods and services in a relaxing atmosphere. Rain or shine!

Adult Scrabble Club

Every Tuesday from 7pm -8.15pm

A library sponsored program that welcomes all adult scrabble players for a night of entertainment!

Iron Horse Park

Every Sunday from 11am – 4pm

Come and experience an interpretive rail journey on our miniature trains. Climb aboard one of the 1/8th scale diesel or steam locomotives at the park and get a feeling of what the railway was like in Western Canada during the pioneer days. The journey will take you over hills, across trestles and through tunnels across the varied landscape. Admission to the park is free. Banff Mountain Film & Book Festival

October 28 – Novmeber 5th, 2017

The Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival takes place each fall in Banff, Alberta. Don’t miss nine epic days filled with stories of remote journeys, ground-breaking expeditions, and cutting-edge adventures told through the eyes of adventurers, authors, photographers, and filmmakers from around the globe.

Melissa’s Road Race

September 23rd, 2017

This annual 10K and 22K road race has been taking place for over 30 years in Banff and has been voted Alberta’s best road race. The organized race, usually held on a September Saturday, donates profits generated from the event back into the community. Starts at the Banff Recreation Grounds. http://www.melissasroadrace.ca/

Evening Wine and Cheese Cruise

Every Wednesday & Sunday 7pm

Set sail across the wide-open emerald waters of beautiful Lake Minnewanka at dusk on the Banff Lake Cruise. Calgary Food Tours – Crave Kensington

Every Thursday until November 30th, 2017. 5.50pm – 8.30pm

Calgary Food Tours’ trip through Kensington will take participants to six favourite food spots in this BRZ. The tour will include stops for true Neapolitan pizza from Pulcinella Ristorante as well as treats from Crave cupcakes and visits to the Peasant Cheese Shop and Kensington Wine Market. Canmore Highland Games  

September 2-3, 2017

Put on your kilt laddies and lassies! Canmore’s Annual Highland Games, presented by The Malcolm Scottish Society is back for it’s 26th year. Canmore’s Scottish Cultural Heritage is celebrated in this day of the Pipe and Drums, Dance, Heavy Events, Celtic Culture, Clan displays, the Ceilidh and much more.

Canmore Mountain Market

Every Thursday Until October 10am-6pm

The Canmore Mountain Market is a summer tradition for over twenty years. Rain or shine, this market showcases a variety of locally and regionally produced items including fresh fruits and vegetables (with seasonal Alberta and B.C. options when available) elk meat, fresh poultry and baked goods. Cochrane Fair

August 18, 19, & 20, 2017: Cochrane Fair, Cochrane Agricultural Society Grounds. Featuring the Excel Homes Special Events Stage, Children Fun Zone, lots of equestrian events including Jackpot Team Roping, a Midway by Wildrose Amusements, a great “Market Place”, and tons of other activities.

Friday BBQ at the Legion

Every Friday. The Legion holds a Friday night BBQ every Friday night from 6-7pm.

Membership not required. We serve steak for $9.50 and burgers for $7.50 with all the fixings of potatoes, beans, salad and garlic bread. Families are welcome, 114 5th Avenue West.

Labour Day Weekend

September 2,3,4, 2017: 51st Annual Cochrane Lions Labour Day Rodeo.  Cochrane Lions Rodeo Grounds, 109 5th Avenue West.

Rodeo starts at 1:00 pm.  Bareback/ Saddle Bronc/ Bull Riding/ Steer Wrestling/ Calf Roping/ Junior Steer Riding/ Novice Horse Riding/ Team Roping/  Ladies Barrel Racing/  Junior Barrel Racing/  Breakaway Roping/  Junior Bull Riding/ Wild Pony Race/ Mutton Busting-/ Pee Wee Barrel Racing/ Trick Riders.  Crowning of the new Cochrane Lions Rodeo Queen.  Tickets are Adults $15, Teens and Seniors $10, Under 12 free.
